Map domain on blogger with godaddy account

If you are beginner and got the domain from godaddy and facing problem to use it with blogger account, this may be helpful.

Step 1> Sign in with your godaddy.com account.

Step 2> Click on the My Account tab from the top right corner of the screen.


Step 3> Click on the Manage My Domains tab.


Step 4> Select your domain and click on drop down arrow then select Manage DNS.


Step 5> An IP address (AHost and CNAME) is assigned to the domain which we have purchased. When we purchase a domain so we need to change these records to link with the blogger account. Under DNS Zone File tab, click the "@" AHost record and go to the edit button as shown below.


Step 6> In the Host field, type @ and in the Points to field, type 216.239.32.21 then click on Finish.


Step 7> Now you need to save the changes to consider it as final.



Step 8> Again go to the Add Record and select Record for A (Host) as you need to insert 4 records for A (Host).


Step 9> In the Host field, type @ and in the Points to field, type 216.239.34.21 then click on Add Another Record and add two more records with the same procedure. Value for host will be same for all 4 records.
Point to field- 216.239.36.21
                     216.239.38.21
Now again save the changes.

Step 10> Next, in the CName record, click on www and then go to the edit button as shown below.


Step 11> In the Host field, type www and in the Points to field, type ghs.google.com and click on finish.


Step 12> Again you need to save the changes here.


Step 13> Add one more record for CName by clicking at Add Record then CName Record.


Step 14> In the Host field, type 64wl4pjyk5aa and in the Points to field, type gv-vykzyeqqtt3xrg.dv.googlehosted.com then click on finish and save changes again.


Step 15> Create the blogger.com account. You can also sign in your blogger account through your old gmail id. Now select New Blog as you need to create a blog and redirect it to your new purchased domain. You can simply create here and modify it later.


Step 16> Now give the title and create new address then click on create blog


Step 17> When your blog is created successfully, dashboard will appear on the screen. Select Settings as shown below.


Step 18> Here in the Basic tab, go to the Publishing, click on Set up a third-part URL for your blog.


Step 19> Type your domain which you want to use in the http:// field followed by www and click on save.


Step 20> If the authority of your domain is verified then you don't need to go for further steps and click on Save and your account will be mapped. If the authority of your domain is not verified then you need to verify it. For this click on the link which have mentioned below.


Step 21> Select your domain registrar.


Step 22> A verification code will be given to you that you need to copy and past it to the TXT field of your godaddy account. 


Step 23> Again sign in your godaddy account and go to My Account > Manage My Domains > Manage DNS as shown in the Step 2, 3 and 4. Now in the TXT field, click on the Add Record.


Step 24> In the Host field, type @ and in the TXT Value field, paste the verification code which we have copied in the Step 18 and then click on Finish ans save it.


Step 25> In your blogger.com account click Save as shown below.


Now your domain is mapped to your blogger account. It may take 24 hours or sometimes a few hours to get it activated.
